August 22, 2023     Strikes Bring Halt To All Movie Projects

The Twister Town and On The Run movie projects are still alive but not doing anything currently due to the ongoing writer and SAG strike. Twister Town is further along and we are still in the casting stage, although even that has slowed down due to the strike. Hopefully there will be something to update in the near future.

November 6, 2022     Dina Renon Commits To Female Lead For The Twister Town Movie Project

As most of you know, my novel Twister Town has been adapted into a screenplay that is currently being represented by DO Productions in Paris, France. I am happy to let you know that actress/model Dina Renon has officially signed on with the intent to play the lead female role of Emma Green. This is great news as another piece of the puzzle comes together. Dina has tremendous experience on the big screen and has appeared in numerous movies and commercials during her career. Emma Green could not be in better hands. Dina’s excited to be part of the project. She said, "I'm really looking forward to this. I love the nature of this story because it really resonates with what’s happening in today's world."

30 Minutes won a BookFest Book Award for Excellence in Political Thrillers.

May 28, 2022     Fighting For A Cure 7 - 2pm - Angry Chair Brewing - Tampa, Florida

It was an extremely hot day outside, but once again, Fighting for a Cure 7 didn't leave anyone disappointed. The FFAC Championship Match lived up to the hype and then some. There was a raffle with tons of great stuff, including the four signed books I donated. The meet and greet portion of the event with The "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart, and my friend "The Baddest Man on the Planet" Haku, was lots of fun as usual. At the end of the day, well over $5,000 was raised for the American Cancer Society.

May 11, 2022     Contract Signed With DO Productions in Paris, France To Represent Twister Town Movie Project

I signed a contract today with DO Productions, located in Paris, France, to represent the Twister Town movie project. Moving forward they will represent the project in all pitches to major production houses across the globe.

April 28, 2022     30 Minutes Audiobook Released

October 14, 2021     Firebird Book Award Winners Announced

It was a huge day for the Scott Stevens library as three books were named winners in the October 2021 Firebird Book Awards. Twister Town won for Suspense, On the Run for Action/Adventure, and Deadly Roses for Romantic Suspense.

August 14, 2021     Fighting For A Cure 7 - 1pm - Palmetto, Florida - CANCELED

I'll be taking part in the meet and greet portion of Fighting for a Cure 7. It's going to be a great afternoon of pro wrestling bouts highlighted by the FFAC Championship Match and a huge Bull Rope Match between Big Country Mark Boswell and the legendary Bob Cook. There will be a raffle with some great, authentic pro wrestling memorabilia, and I've donated some signed books for the raffle as well. I'll be doing the meet and greet with Joe Cool and Randy Hogan. You can get advanced tickets on Eventbrite. It's going to be a fun day, and remember, 100% of the proceeds on the day go to the American Cancer Society!

UPDATE: This event has been canceled again due to COVID-19. Hopefully, it will return next year, bigger and better!

This was a great event! I met lots of great people and set up a lot of things for the future as well. Look for some really cool interviews and events coming up in the next year, all coming from this one event. It's a very nice place with a beautiful set up inside that any book lover would enjoy.

I had a great time at WrestleStock, signing copies of Squared Circle, Full Circle, with Joe (Cool) Abel. It was all part of the Wrestlemania 37 festivities and all the money made at our table was donated to The American Cancer Society. Some of the legends who were there were Sgt. Slaughter, Gillberg, Terri Runnels, Virgil, Andrew Anderson, Tony Atlas, The Sheepherders, The Nasty Boys, Kevin Sullivan, my friends Billy Silverman and J.J. Dillon, as well as many others. So much fun! I hope to be able to do it again next year!

February 15, 2021     Deadly Roses Anniversary Weekend Celebration - Online

What a fantastic (and busy) weekend it was. I celebrated the one-year anniversary of the release of my thriller Deadly Roses with a 30-day giveaway contest on Goodreads, a free ebook weekend on Amazon, and gave away several copies of the newly released audiobook on social media. During the celebration the book went to #1 in the United States and it reached #12 in the United Kingdom the next day. Congrats to Eric Egge and Mary Tharp, who were the winners of the Goodreads contest for signed paperbacks. Thank you to everyone who took part over the course of the weekend. It was a lot of fun!

February 13, 2021     Deadly Roses Reaches #1

On February 13th, 2021 Deadly Roses reached #1 in the United States on the Amazon Best Seller List. It reached #12 in the UK the next day. This is my third book to reach #1 status on the Amazon Best Seller List, joining Twister Town and Squared Circle, Full Circle.

After a nearly three-month wait, the Deadly Roses audiobook has finally been released! The story is narrated by the fantastic voice of Nic Barta. It's available on Amazon, Audible and iTunes.

January 28, 2021     Hollywood Producer Herb Linsey Joins The 'On The Run' Movie Project

I am happy to announce more progress for the On the Run movie project. We are very excited to officially welcome Hollywood producer Herb Linsey to the project. Herb has produced more than 45 films, including Watch Out For Slick, Neon Maniacs, and Club Life.

​

Some of the cast has already committed to the project as well. Dina Renon has done commercial campaigns with Loreal, Nissan, Sony, Toyota, Colgate, Rogers, and TD bank to name a few. She also has extensive experience in movies and television.

​

Luing Andrews is a legendary villian in United Kingdom television and movies. He's had great roles in The Heavy with Vinnie Jones and Gary Stretch, Closed Circuit with Eric Bana and Rebecca Hall, and EastEnders, to mention a few.

​

Olivia Dei Cicchi will have a great role as well. Her credits include Les Miserables (National Tour), Saturday Night Live, and Bonnie & Clyde.

​

Justin Michaels has also committed to the cast. Justin has put together a great career as a pro wrestling manager on the independent circuit. He is currently the manager of the GWA Heavyweight Champion - Kahagus, and the GWA Tag Team Champions - The Dirty Blondes. He was also the star of the television show Yesterland Waltz.

​

John Martino is going to be joining the cast as well, as Stefan. You remember him as "Paulie Gatto" from "The Godfather." He was also in "Dillinger," "Capone," "Confessions of a Thug," and many other films. We are very excited to have him come on board with the project!

December 16, 2020     Twister Town Audiobook Released

After two failed attempts with subpar narrators, the Twister Town audiobook has finally been released, narrated by the fantastic voice of Dean Ruple. It was released just in time for Christmas and was immediately put on a "Buy One Get One Free" sale. The response to this long awaited project has been great so far!

I recently dropped in on my friend Gregg Hinthorn and had a great conversation with him for his YouTube show. We talked about my writing process, publishing, and shared tips and tricks to make your story better. I always have a great time talking to Gregg and this visit was no different. We have a series of seven or eight interviews that we will be doing in 2021, so keep an eye out for those!

I had a great time with my friends Dan Fox and Angela Sanders on their YouTube podcast. We talked about all things writing - approach, outlines, preparing for publication, how to not get scammed by publishers, and of course my books and where the ideas came from. It was a fun interview and I'll definitely stop by again in the future.

November 22, 2020     Verbal Agreement With Production Company For On The Run

After several great conversations with a production company, a verbal agreement has been reached to make my thriller, On the Run, into a movie. We have already put several pieces in place - securing some great songs for the soundtrack and bringing two cast members on board. There is still a lot to do in the very long process of making a movie, but it's an exciting time as we move forward with the project. Stay tuned for more news as the project continues to develop.

November 8, 2020     Fighting For A Cure 7 - 3pm - Sarasota, Florida - CANCELED

I'll be going to Fighting For A Cure 7 on 11/8/20. It was originally scheduled for July 26th at Joyland in Sarasota. I had a great time at last year's event and Joe Abel works so hard to put on a great show. All of the proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society. I donated some signed books last year for the raffle and I'll be doing the same again this year. My friends "The Genius" Lanny Poffo and Haku will be joining Sheepherder Luke for a meet and greet, beginning at 3pm, and there may be another great legend added to that list before the show. I've already reserved my ringside seats - front row center. See you there!

October 3, 2020     Squared Circle, Full Circle Book Release Party - 6pm - Bootlegger's Brewing Company - Tampa, Florida

What a great time this was. I thank everyone for coming out and thank Miguel Hito and Bootleggers Brewing Company for putting on such a great event. The place was nicely done up and was buzzing all night. I saw some old fans and met a lot of new ones too. The staff was great and really, the entire night was pretty awesome. When all was said and done, we raise more than $3,000 for The American Cancer Society. Thank you so much to EVERYONE who came out and was a part of it! I look forward to doing more work in the future with Kegs for a Cure.

September 30, 2020     10th Anniversary Edition Of "A Shot Of Poison" Released

The NEW 10th Anniversary Edition of my friend Christopher Long's 2010 debut memoir, "A Shot of Poison" was released today. It's available on Amazon or directly via CG Publishing. I am so excited to be a small part of this project. I have read the book and if you like the rock band Poison, you NEED this book. While discussing it with Chris after finishing the book, I shared a story from a long time ago and he had the idea of including it in the book. A few weeks later, abracadabra, I had written the afterword! This is THE book that Poison doesn't want you to read!

September 4, 2020     Wrestling Biography "Squared Circle, Full Circle... I'm Joe Cool And You're Not!" Released

The launch for Joe Abel's biography, 'Squared Circle, Full Circle... I'm Joe Cool, And You're Not!' went extremely well. It reached #1 New Release on Amazon twice on launch day. Once for the paperback and later for the kindle. It also climbed all the way up to #2 in the Wrestling category. Over in the United Kingdom, it hit #20 on release day. Thank you so much to everyone who took part on release day and especially to those who made a purchase!

August 16, 2020     Contract With Sunbury Press Terminated

After countless empty promises and a business model that continually changed for the negative, I decided it was time to move on and terminate my contract with Sunbury Press. I was lead to believe they had the best interest of my books in mind, but that turned out to be untrue. My fans can now look forward to lower prices and faster shipping times.

June 23, 2020     Writing / Promoting With Innovative Ideas & Today's Technology - 6pm - Southshore Library - Ruskin, Florida - CANCELED

On June 23rd I'll be in Ruskin, Florida with my friend, award-winning author Jaimie Engle, at the Southshore Library located at 15816 Beth Shields Way. We'll be teaching a class on how to write the best novel you can and then promote it to the best of your abilities, using today's technology. The class runs from 6-8:30pm and is free to join. This is the make-up date from the originally scheduled, but postponed March 24th date.

June/July 2020     Derwent Valley Litfest - United Kingdom - CANCELED

I have committed to once again be part of the Derwent Valley LitFest over in the United Kingdom this year. The 2020 event is going to be different because of the health obstacles, so I won't be going over there as we had originally hoped. As a matter of fact, there won't be any live, in-person events at all this year. So I will be doing an online meet and greet and am very happy to be a part of it for the third consecutive year. We are looking at a date in June or July right now. More details to come once we get everything figured out.

UPDATE: This event has been postponed until later in the year 2020. Sadly, I cannot guarantee I'll be able to make the new date - if one is even announced.

May 2, 2020     Covid-Con 2020 - 8:30pm - Online

This was a fun online event packed with stars from the professional wrestling world. I did a thirty-minute spot with G.L.O.W.'s Sunny the California Girl (Patricia Summerland). We talked about her upcoming book, "Beautiful Ashes" and a host of other cool stuff. My friends Lanny Poffo, Kenny Casanova, and Brian Knobbs also took part. The event also featured other wrestling legends like Diamond Dallas Page, Tugboat/Typhoon, Sycho Sid Vicious, Danny Davis, Bill Apter, and Koko B. Ware just to name a few. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

October 26, 2019     Brian Blair biography Announced!

I am very excited to announce the contracts have been signed and I'll soon be working on a book with WWE Legend Brian Blair. It's tentatively titled "B. Brian Blair: Wrestling For My Life." From the early discussions we have had, this book is going to be filled with plenty of behind the scenes, never heard before stories. Some of the hilarious kind! Can't wait to get started on this one! Look for a release date in 2020 or early 2021.

August 30, 2019     Patricia Summerland (Sunny the California Girl) biography Announced!

I am very excited to announce that I will be doing another biography in addition to Joe Abel’s. The contracts have all been signed and finalized and I will be teaming up with former G.L.O.W. superstar, Patricia Summerland, AKA Sunny the California Girl, to tell her story. Currently, it's set for a release date sometime in 2020, possibly 2021.

​

Patricia has been involved in entertainment of one sort or another since the age of five. She has also been involved in the pro wrestling industry for more than 30 years, she is a political talk show host with her own show on the radio and she will tell her story about the rise and fall of her career. The book will offer insight into the life of arguably one of G.L.O.W.’s most famous woman, including both the highs and the lows. Plus there will be plenty of juicy behind the scenes info that you never knew before, so you won’t want to miss this!

​

The book is tentatively titled “Beautiful Ashes: The Life and Times of G.L.O.W. Star Patricia Summerland” This joint venture with Scott Stevens and Patricia Summerland will surely bring you hours of intriguing entertainment and lots of not so public stories from behind the scenes of everything she has done.

August 26, 2019     Joe Abel biography Announced!

Now that the contracts are all signed, I am very pleased to announce a brand new venture. I will be doing a biography about the life of Joe Abel. Currently, it's set for a release date sometime in 2020. Joe has been in the pro wrestling business for more than 25 years and his story promises to be exciting and chock full of behind the scenes notes that you won’t want to miss.

​

He currently runs the annual Fighting For A Cure event to benefit the American Cancer Society, so you'll also learn what it takes to put on such an event and why he is so passionate about it.

​

The book is tentatively entitled “Squared Circle, Full Circle: My Life in the World of Professional Wrestling.” This joint venture with Scott Stevens and Joe Abel will surely bring you plenty of entertaining stories from behind the scenes of professional wrestling.

Joe added, “I am thrilled to death to be working with such an accomplished author, who will help me tell my story.”

I had a fantastic time yesterday at Barnes & Noble in Carrollwood. So many people came out to say hi and grab a book, the day was so much fun. I have to say though, that the day was stolen by a 7-year-old named Diana, who was waiting for us when we got there. Thank you so much to EVERYONE who came out!

July 28, 2019     Fighting For A Cure 6 - 4pm - Sarasota, Florida

I had such a great time at the Fighting For A Cure event in Sarasota. The place was jam-packed with fans and the action was non-stop. Most importantly a donation of more than $20,000 was given to the American Cancer Society! So many great people donated their time to put on a fantastic show. I think everyone had a very enjoyable experience!  I donated paperback copies of On Ice, Twister Town, On The Run (Original version) and the new release of On The Run to the items that were raffled off to help raise even more money. Rocky Johnson, Mick Foley, Bob Cook, Delicious D and so many others gave their time for this great cause. Joe Abel put the event together once again and did an A+ job!

This event came about pretty much at the last minute but it was so much fun. Since I only found out I would be there a few days previous, I didn't have a lot of time to promote but there were a lot of people there anyway. I had a lot of fun. I met a lot of new fans and some old ones came out to say hello too. Thank you to everyone who came out. It was fun!

June 22, 2019     Derwent Valley Litfest - Live Broadcast Event - 10am - 12pm - United Kingdom

For the second consecutive year, I had a blast with this. It's an honor to be part of such a tremendous event and this year was even better than last year. Jaimie Engle and I headlined the day's events and closed out the festivities for the day over in the U.K. It was early morning here because of the time difference but that didn't matter as the participation was awesome. People packed the Barnes & Noble and the broadcast was a huge success as well. It was so much fun and a huge success. I hope to be invited back again next year!

 

June 22, 2019     Barnes & Noble - 9am - 1pm - Oviedo, Florida

Jaimie Engle and I did a book signing at Barnes & Noble here as part of the Derwent Valley LitFest over in the United Kingdom. The middle two hours were broadcast globally as part of the festival. What a fantastic time I had! The store was packed and I met so many great people. Everything was top notch, a dream come true for what you'd want from a book signing. They put together a fantastic area for us to do the broadcast from and I really couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful and all future book signing events I do will be compared to this one!

April 10, 2019     Rescue Raffle Benefit- Rose's Bistro, New Port Richey, Florida

I had so much fun at this event and we raised some money for a great cause. My friends, award-winning author Jaimie Engle, and former WWE Superstar "The Genius" Lanny Poffo met a lot of great people that night and we all had a very good time. Thank you to everyone who came out! Each of us donated 50% of our book sales from the evening to this wonderful charity. The organization supplies pet food to owners who would normally have to give up their pet because they can't afford to feed them.

February 12, 2019     Signed contract with Sunbury Press Publishing

I am very happy to announce that I have signed a contract for all three of my books, as well as any future books, with Sunbury Press Publishing. They are a traditional publishing company that has several publishing brands underneath its umbrella. On The Run will be rebranded under their Milford House Press label but we aren't quite sure yet which label the other two will be rebranded under. I'll announce that once we get that hammered out.

 

December 8, 2018     Winter Wonderland Craft And Vendor Fair, Holiday, Florida

I can't put into words how surprised I was at the turnout at this event. On The Run completely sold out every copy I had. I met a lot of new fans and plenty of old ones too. Thank you so much to everyone who came out. The event was run without any problems and everyone there was very nice and accommodating. I had an awesome time and will definitely be back next year.

 

September 28, 2018     On The Run Is Officially Released

On this date, On The Run was officially released to the public via Amazon. While doing a good deed, Dwight Cobb, unfortunately, finds himself right smack in the middle of a major drug deal gone bad. He’s forced to go on the run for his life from a Cuban drug cartel. While on the run he meets some new friends, reconnects with an old acquaintance, and in the midst of all the chaos, his wife, Colleen, mysteriously disappears. Where could she have gone and why? Does Dwight ultimately survive the cartel hit squad sent to kill him?

 

September 2018     Twister Town Audiobook Project On Hiatus

The long-awaited audiobook for Twister Town has been put on hiatus. The narrator, Jennifer Nadeau, missed several deadlines and wasn't even close to finishing the project. She had to be fired from the project and focus is now going to shift on the release of On The Run. The audiobook version of Twister Town will be revisited in the future.

July 20, 2018     On Ice Audio Book Officially Released

The long-awaited audiobook for On Ice was released worldwide on July 20th. It was originally scheduled for June 30th but Amazon delayed the project. It's been a long time in the making and finally, after many speed bumps, it is available to the public on Audible, Amazon and iTunes. The official retail sample is available on the front page of this website. The story is narrated by Jeff Hutchins who does a fantastic job bringing John Kinkaid and the rest of the characters to life!

On October 21st, 2017 Twister Town reached #1 in Germany on the Amazon Best Seller List. It also reached #7 in the USA and #19 in the UK.

I had a great time in Orlando! I met lots of fans and signed a bunch of copies of Twister Town and On Ice. It was really a great time. I can't wait for next year's event!

 

July 16, 2017     Twister Town is officially released
On this date, Twister Town was officially released to the public via Amazon. It would peak at #1 on the Amazon bestseller list in Germany, #7 in the United States and #19 in the United Kingdom. It also cracked the Top 100 list in Australia and Canada. Many have stated that it's the best novel to come out in 2017!

 

April 26, 2017     Meet the Author event in Tampa, Florida canceled
The Meet the Author event that was scheduled for April 26th in Tampa, Florida, at the Coffee and Tea Cafe, located in the Moffit McKinley Outpatient Center was canceled. I was really looking forward to meeting some great people here but apparently, there were unresolved issues between the promoter and the facility.

 

April 21-23, 2017     Seafood and Blues Festival, New Port Richey, Florida
It was three days of fun, great food and great music this weekend. I had a great time, met lots of fans and signed a ton of copies of On Ice. It was really a fun weekend!

On this date On Ice was officially released to the public via Amazon. It would peak at #4 on the Amazon bestseller list in the United Kingdom, #9 in Germany, #14 in the United States and #23 in Canada. It also cracked the Top 100 list in Australia, France, and Spain.

The third and final promo for On Ice is released on this date, featuring the song "Love reaction" by Joined Forces. The video features the currently used cover design for the very first time.
